Interested in Becoming Catholic? Join OCIA! (formerly RCIA)

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults--OCIA (formerly RCIA) is the pathway in the Church for Individuals to be accompanied as they seek to become Catholic and recieve the Sacraments of Initiation; Baptism, Confirmation and the Holy Eucharist.  If you are an adult desiring Baptism; A person of another Christian Tradition/Denomination interested in becoming Catholic; Or a Baptized Catholic, over the age of 16, that has not recieved either their First Communion or Confirmation OCIA is the place to begin the your journey into full communion with the Catholic Church.

Catechumens and Sponsors in OCIA at the Cathedral will meet on a schedule that works with each person, please reach out!  If you are interested in learning more about OCIA or just talking through where you are in your journey contact Father Julian Cuervo either by phone (860) 889-8441 or via email fatherjuliancuervo@cathedralofsaintpatrick.org Thank you and God bless you! Additionally, if you have a child, over the age of 7, who has not been Baptized and who would like to become Catholic please let Father Julian know and we will be happy to walk with your family through the Order of Christian Initiation of Children (OCIC) as well.
